Newsweek: Epic Fail – 1/3/2015

The seemingly traditional annual hit-piece was recently released by Newsweek. The article was written by Kurt Eichenwald and is titled:The Bible: So Misunderstood it’s a SinThe article contains so many theological, historical, and factual errors it’s hard to imagine how this article made it as a cover story on a major national publication. But, it did. So now we have to deal with the mess that it is.How do we handle the challenges that are presented in this article? Yes. Much of the article is so factually off course it seems a bit of a waste to dignify it. However, since it was front cover on a popular magazine, it is helpful to address it.We also talk about the upcoming conference being put on by The American Vision, Apologia Church, and Crown Rights Media; being held at Arizona Community Church on February 19th and 20th. As of right now, the speaker line-up is Joel McDurmon, Jeff Durbin, Sye Ten Bruggencate, Marcus Pittman, and Ivey Conerly. The final night of the conference will be a debate between JD Hall (Pulpit and Pen Broadcast) and Joel McDurmon. The debate will be moderated by Vocab Malone of The Urban Theologian radio program. The debate will be on the subject of the Law of God: is it still relevant and binding on civil government today? Finally, we have a segment on silly Atheistic thought.Enjoy! No King but Christ!Apologia RadioHere is Dr. James White’s response to the article: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7yxEjhiiM4&sns=fb
